Dr. Cynae Johnson-Parker

With over 15 years of experience as an oncology nurse practitioner at some of the world's leading cancer academic centers, I have expertise in various areas, including inpatient care, post-surgical management, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone replacement, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and clinical trials. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus on executive leadership, and my dissertation on survivorship led to the development of a multidisciplinary survivorship program that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial challenges of cancer patients.

I am committed to empowering and educating people of color and their families throughout their journey. Throughout my career, I've noticed a gap in care that often arises not from the primary medical team but from the limited appointment time that leaves patients feeling rushed. Many clients leave their medical appointments without a clear understanding of the next steps in their treatment due to the complexity of testing results, and they struggle to communicate what was discussed to their caregivers, who support them.
